Staff Accountant - Tax:
Our firm, Sheheen, Hancock and Godwin LLP, is a local CPA firm in Camden, SC that has an immediate need for a tax staff accountant position. For over 60 years, we have served a broad client base of individuals and businesses throughout South Carolina and multiple states. The position of staff accountant will include responsibilities for preparing individual and business income tax returns. Prior public accounting experience is required, and preference is given to CPA or CPA candidates. The competitive compensation for the position is based on experience and benefits include paid holidays and paid time off, healthcare incentive, Simple IRA and CPA exam reimbursement. Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns
- Prepare financial statements
- Perform accounting related duties as necessary
- Possess strong communication skills
- Demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills
- Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and be proficient with QuickBooks, MS Office, Ultra Tax CS
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of public accounting experience
- CPA or CPA Candidate Preferred
